At Tann Law Solicitors, we aim to provide upfront competitive fee structures across core practice areas so clients can budget confidently. We use different fee charging strategies according to the demands and complexities of the case.
Fixed Fee_ _ _ _
We do use fixed fees in some of our cases. This is favourable to clients who can budget their costs accordingly. In most cases, the agreed fee is what we charge even if we do extra work than anticipated. However, if anything which is outside of the normal instructions of the case arises, additional fees may be applicable.
Hourly Rate_ _ _ _
In very complex situations particularly in dispute resolution we usually charge per hour. We have different levels of hourly rates for our paralegals, caseworkers and lawyers depending on seniority and experience. Our hourly rates are guided by the Law Society recommended rates.
Contingency Fees_ _ _ _
This is usually called “no win, no fee”. This is usually based on the success of a case. We rarely use contingency fees and if we believe this is applicable in your case, we will discuss it with you.
It is also important for clients to consider taking insurance covers that will assist them in case of a legal issue. When you buy your home or car insurance, this can be added as a bolt-on. Some legal insurances are sold independently.
